A number of people are on a sidewalk and street leading through what looks like a housing complex, all red-roofed, with mountains beyond. This was the Pacific Branch of the National Home for Disabled Volunteer Soldiers in what was the city of Sawtelle (later a district of Los Angeles). The publisher's number on the back is 3106. Although the back is divided, this German-made card forbids any writing in the left panel except for a return address. This type of card was only made in the few years around 1907 when postal-regulation changes made messages on the address side legal.
