Eastlake Park, "Winter Scene," Los Angeles, California
Van Ornum Colorprint Co., Los Angeles, California
A round, multicolored, fenced flower bed is in the foreground, with people sitting on benches on either side of the road leading to it. A child is in the road between the benches, and everyone is facing the viewer. Behind them rows of palm trees line the road. This park was first Los Angeles Park (1881-1901), then Eastlake Park (1901-1917), and renamed Lincoln Park. The publisher's number on the divided back of this card is A 68. The slogan on the back, "On the Road of a Thousand Wonders," suggests that this was part of a promotion of The Coast Line-Shasta Route of the Southern Pacific Railroad.
