This is a Real Photo Post Card, manufactured by a silver-based process that developed the photograph onto a postcard backing. A black-and-white photograph of the lit interior of a cafeteria (buffet) looks as if it was taken from the mezzanine. Below are customers at tables, on the left a lighting fixture looking like a leafy plant, and in the middle of the picture an elaborate screen matches the real or fake plants hanging from the ceiling. This version of the cafeteria was opened in 1939 and lasted until the closing in 1960.
