This is a linen postcard with a gold margin. On it is a tinted picture showing the southern edge of the 1932 Municipal Auditorium grounds, overlooking a crowded beach and swimmers in the lagoon created by the Rainbow Pier near the horizon. Beyond the pier the City of Long Beach skyscrapers and downtown buildings show on the horizon. A promotional paragraph on the back states that Long Beach is the "fifth largest city in California."
