Plunkett, Bob
Photographic paper: EKC
The Muse of Music statue designed by George Stanley (1903-1973) was built by Works Progress Administration workers at a cost of $100,000. Sculptor Stanley was best known for his design of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts statuette "Oscar." This is a Real Photo Post Card of a picture taken at dusk. The Real Photo process allowed photographers to take a "snap shot" and have it finished at a photo shop that printed it out on postcard backing for mailing. This EKC photo paper was made from 1930-1950. In the right lower corner is the mark of Bob Plunkett "Photo"; the number 388 following the title in the upper left corner is probably Plunkett's.
