Editor-in-Chief: Bates, Roberta
The end papers of this San Diego State College annual are decorated with signs and grafitti, and the book is dedicated partly "to the crowded halls and classrooms, home of our disontent" and "to our new park" (Scripps Park). In October, there was a "Moratorium" with protests, marches, picketing, war games, a vigil, and a teach-in. By the time of publication, the parking lot that had been built between Love Library and Scripps Cottage's new site had been the site of a "drive-in" (automobiles occupying the lot) and a "green-in" (a sit-in in the lot)--both pictured--and was being demolished in favor of Scripps Park. Students were also still occupying the Administration Building. Jesse Unruh, William F. Buckley, Allen Ginsberg, and LeRoi Jones spoke, Buffy Sainte-Marie sang, and Jose Feliciano played on campus. The Black Student Council held the first "Black is Beautiful" pageant. The new Music Building opened, and Love Library construction is shown. Pages 201-205 are devoted to the new "Experimental College" (EC)
