Dear Sir:
Our bookkeeper will send you check for $28.50, to pay for the olives. You need not send us more, as I found on my return that our steward has laid in quite a stock, from W. W. Whitney, about which I know nothing; and as he purchased those at about 25 cents per gallon less than your cost, we prefer to use those first.
