Messrs Johnson Brothers, Otay, Calif.,

Gentlemen:-
I wrote you a few days ago that we must have more milk. Mr Robinson tells me you have dropped three cans, instead of increasing. I have given him instructions today to pay as high as 25 cents per gallon for milk and hold you responsible for the difference. This is authority only in San Diego. If we do not hear from you within forty-eight hours I propose to send a man through the country at the head of the bay offering 23 cents per gallon for milk delivered at the station. You are not treating us right in causing us all this annoyance and trouble. You undertook to furnish us what milk we would require, and the failure on your part us causing us great injury.

Yours truly,
E. S. Babcock.

H. A. Lamos, Esq.,
Pasadena, Calif.,

Dear Sir:-
I have your favor of the 17th inst., for Alhambra.

You can get rates at the Josephine, ranging from $ 8.00 to $12,00 per week. At this time of the year we cannot quote a lower rate than $17.50 per week, each, and you would have to occupy one room.

Yours truly,
E. S. Babcock.
