Messrs Short & Schwan,
Pomona, Calif.

Gentlemen:-
Our purchaser tells me he cannot use any more eggs at the prices you are charging, as he bought ten cases for delivery this week, at 25 cents.

We are buying first-class Navel Oranges at $2.50 per box, 128 to the box.

Yours truly,

January 18,1892
S. G. Ingle, Esq.,
San Diego, Calif.,

Dear Sir:-
The claim of the Encaustic Tile Co., is not correct.

I gave Price money to pay for his meals and sleeping car fare to Chicago, and money to pay his fare from Chicago to Anderson, and also for four days to go from here to Chicago. As you know, Price loafed about here two or three days, and was drunk twice, and gave us considerable trouble.

Mr Bettens, our bookkeeper, makes out that we owe about $800. Instead of $963.00 as computed by the Tile Co.
