J. A. Brown, Esq.,
San Jacinto, Calif.,

Dear Sir:-
I am very glad to receive your letter of the 14tg inst. We have just received a car load of meats, including 250 turkies and several hundred chickens, from Kansas City, and we cannot use very many, if any, more chickens. Would not be willing to pay more than $3.50 to $3.75 for broilers, and more than $4.50 to $5.00 for hens--in fact do not care for hens at that price. Could use your turkeys, here, at live weight, 15 cents per lb., but could not take them under any other conditions.

Yours truly
