Messrs Armour & Co.
Kansas City, Mo.,

Gentlemen:-
Your favor of the 3rd inst., is at hand.

Your prices on meat and poultry, as quoted, were higher than those of other dealers, and on the 2nd inst., we purchased a car load of supplies in Kansas City, which is due tonight.

The turkeys cost us 13 ½ cents and the chickens 11 cents.

I am sorry you were not able to give us prices which would enable us to give you orders, as we anticipate to use much more provisions this season than during any previous one.

Yours truly,
E. S. Babcock.
