Chas. Hardy, Esq.,

Dear Sir:-
I have your note of the 13th inst., which I presume was written before you saw me.

I find it will be impossible for me to pay you for a few days.

Where I counted on money for my payrolls I will be disappointed. I hope this will not seriously inconvenience you. It may be I can give you something early next week.

Yours truly,

November 14, 1891
Messrs Powers & Collins,
Seattle, Wash.,

Gentlemen:-
If I purchase any of your trucks it will probably be for one or two coaches to start with. Would want them delivered to J. G. Brill & Co's shops, at Philadelphia.

Your trucks are a little higher in price than those offered us by J.G. Brill & Co., and which have been recommended to us very strongly.

Yours truly,
E. S. Babcock.
