Mr Lynch,
Manager Redondo Hotel,
Redondo, Calif.

Dear Mr Lynch:-
We are having a little trouble with Prof. Romandy, the leader of our orchestra, in our dining room. This has only lately occurred, which arises from his criticizing the table and complaining somewhat. Our Steward, Mr Robinson, tells me he understands that you had him in your employ and that you had similar difficulty with him. I am anxious to learn whether such was the case. So far as I am able to judge his criticisms are unfounded, and I should like to know if it is his habit to indulge in criticisms after he has been at a place for a while.

Yours truly,
E. S. Babcock
