Mrs Houser
Mr Robinson tells me he has requested you to allow Mr Cox to have the seat he formerly had, but that you are maintaining it because Mrs Fisher told you to do so. The table at which you are now eating is and should be reserved for employees who pay board, and I will assume the responsibility to Mrs Fisher of your giving up that seat in favor of Mr Cox. Please do as Mr Robinson requests in this matter, as Mr Cox naturally has a little feeling, and the other table, at which Mr Robinson eats, is the proper one for the employees who do not pay board.

Dan Martin, Esq.

Dear Sir:- I have arranged with the hotel hunter to kill quail in Mexico, pay the duty, and deliver the quail to you at the Heights in the morning early, to be sent down on our nine o'clock train. Please see that this is done with as little notoriety as possible, and you speak to the conductor to keep the fact quiet that the sacks contain quail, and tell him to store them under the seats in as quiet a way as possible. We are not breaking any law by doing this, but we do not want to be annoyed with any law suits.

Yours truly,
E. S. Babcock
