C. W. R. It is necessary to call Tony's attention to the fact that the per capita is very large, and that the quantity of butter, mushrooms, meat and other expensive articles being used is out of all proportion and must be reduced, and in doing it, tell him we do not like to have to call his attention to it semi-occasionally. I would also like to have you have him reduce his force on the first of the month two men, letting out one of his $70 men and one of his cheaper men, and say to him that after the first we can not pay above the following wages. Chef, $125. Visner $70. Pifler or the other $70. man, whichever one he keeps, $60. Holm $55. Frantz $30. Cawada $30. Also that the butcher, Long Kee, will have to be reduced to $50.00, as we are going to have a very thin time for several months.
