Mr Dooley,
Agent, Wells, Fargo & Co's Express,
San Diego, Calif.,

Dear Sir:-
I have spent two days up at the Santa Margarita Ranch, and find they are running a dairy there, feeding the milk, after the cream is separated therefrom, to the hogs, and also feeding the milk from which the butter is taken.
I could use from five to thirty gallons of this milk per day, provided can get it handled cheaply from Las Flores Station. What rate will you make in five gallon cans, the cans to be returned empty?

Yours truly,
E. S. Babcock Jr.
