E. C. Dyer, A.M.
In answer to my inquiry of Robinson this morning, as to whether the plan we agreed upon Sunday, to give him an assistant who understands more of the detail about serving meals, had been carried out, I learn it has been deferred at your request.
I think it would be better, when we agree upon anything in conference, as we did Sunday, to carry it out without delay. I do not like to reopen a subject. As you thought Avery was the best material we had, and we were only putting him in on trial anyway, would like for you to carry out the understanding as agreed upon, and oblige,

E. S. Babcock.

July 22nd,

E. C. Dyer, A.M. I have given Robinson instructions this morning to not have poultry more than every other day until we get stock ahead on North Island.
E. S. Babcock.
