Chas. S. Hardy, Esq.,
San Diego, Calif.,

Dear Sir:-
McKee sends us butter saying he charges us 40 cents per roll of two pounds this month. We are going to use it and try it, but think he should reduce the price to something more in line with the rate at which we can purchase elsewhere, which ranges from 27 to 50 cents. His advance of 33 1/3% above the average price is a little more than is right. We want to assist local industries, and at the same time wish to get it as cheaply as possible.

Yours truly,
E. S. Babcock
