Mr C. W. Robinson,
I am inclined to give up the vegetable garden because Mr Cook always said it cost him more money than to buy vegetables; as it now is we are to keep spinach, mint and asparagus growing. My impression is if we are to have a garden at all it ought to be so far away from the inhabitants of the Beach, that it will not furnish vegetables for the inhabitants, but ourselves. The next time you see me talk to me about this.

Yours truly,
E. S. B
