The Aztec Alumni Newsletter (followed by the Aztec Alumni News) was the State College alumni publication from 1946-53 that replaced the Aztec Newsletter compiled and edited by Dr. Lauren Post during World War II. It followed a similar format of its predecessor, but was now edited by Charles Byrne who called the first issue of The Aztec Alumni Newsletter "an experiment" as Post had done in 1942. Byrne noted some differences, however, between this newsletter and the Aztec News Letter, namely an "emphasis on Alumni news" because overseas letters are "fewer and fewer every month." But the newsletter did still feature "News of Aztecs in Service," which continued the Aztec News Letter practice of including letter excerpts and news of those continuing in service.
