Most of Doctor Metheny's 40+ years in the physical education profession were as professor of physical education at the University of California. Her books include Body Dynamics (Health Education), Vital Issues, and Connotations of Movement in Sport and Dance. She defines leadership and goes on to expand on how this plays out in peoples' lives. She died in 1982, so this speech must have been given in 1982 or before.
