This is Volume 45 of the annual. A cartoon character is shown with a picket sign reading, "Free love! Free speech! free tuition maybe?" along with a so-called "peace" symbol (ND semaphone signal for nuclear disarmament) as the "O" in a painted "Love" sign. A sign with "Heck With Free-Love--I Want Free-Parking" went up as part of a parking lot was given over to "a new speech-arts building." Abraham Nasatir received the Trustees' Outstanding Professor Award. The Student Union Board is shown on the Aztec Center construction site.
