This annual is Volume 42 and features the surrounding city of San Diego as well as the campus. It is dedicated to United States President John F. Kennedy (1917-1963), pictured giving the 1963 commencement speech in Aztec Bowl at San Diego State College. Kennedy's brother-in-law, R. Sargent Shriver, spoke on the Peace Corps and then Senator Barry Goldwater campaigned in the Open Air Theater. Construction on the "new Business-Math Building" is shown. An aerial view shows further development on campus. Construction shots show that the area in front of Hepner Hall is being filled in to make "Campanile Mall," with an architect's rendering.
