Interviewer: Chamberlain, Joseph
Dyer was member of the Board of Education for the San Diego Unified School District for eight years, and the Community College District Board from 1981 to 1989. She used to camp in San Diego as a child and returned to San Diego with her husband (1955) after he retired from the United States Marine Corps. She was active in the local Parent Teacher Association and other public service before being elected to the school board. This interview is part of an oral history project at San Diego State University.
