The Californiia Tower, Balboa Park, San Diego, California
Plastichrome by Colourpicture, Boston, Mass. 02130
The California Tower in San Diego's Balboa Park was designed by Bertram Goodhue (1869-1924) and constructed for the Panama-California International Exposition of 1915. To the left of the Tower can be seen a little of the facade that was the entrance to the part of the California State Building that housed the San Diego Museum in the California Qadrangle. Along with the domed California Building that can be glimpsed behind and just to the right of the Tower, this gallery area laster became part of the San Diego Museum of Man.
