Built in 1917, Civic Center Park was subsequently named Libbey Park after Edward Libbey, who purchased the land for the park and was active in the development of Ojai. He donated the park in that year to the Ojai Civic Association, which deeded it to the City in 1971, when the name of the park was changed. Here is a view of one portal arch from which the inside of the park can be seen from the street. The Teich number at the top of the dividing line on the back ia A-75426, from which the date was derived. The card is damaged along the right side.
