M. Rieder, Los Angeles, California (as "The Rieder")
Crowds of people walk on the Promenade with the water on the left, a Ferris wheel in the distance, and on the right towers and a couple of elaborate fronts for "The Chicken Farm," "Temple of Mirth," and "Darkness at Dawn." The Midway was on the south bank of the Venice Lagoon. It and the Lagoon were built by Abbot Kinney along with the "Venice of America" canals, a pier, and other developments on his piece of what was originally Santa Monica. The Midway was torn down in 1911 and replaced with the roller coaster "The Race thru the Clouds." Upside down in the stampbox is the number 45414, and the divided back also reveals that the card was made in Germany. The series number Ve. 15 is also on the back. The publisher was only in business from 1910-1913.
