[Curt Teich and Company, Incorporated, Chicago, Illinois]
A gondola is rounding a bend from the Aldebaran Canal into the Coral Canal, later the intersection of Market and Main Streets in Venice, California. Abbot Kinney's project to create the "Venice of America" began in 1904, but many canals were filled in by 1929. The Teich number 1247 (from which the date was derived) is on the divided back along with the publisher's logo.
