The title continues: "'An ancient ship run in a modern way.' Ward McFadden, Prop[rietor]." In the picture, crowds of people are traversing a waterfront, some stopping at a stall in front of what looks like a three-masted schooner called Cabrillo. Baron Long's establishment was built alongside the Abbot Kinney pier in 1905, eventually demolished in 1946. The publisher's number 9837 is on the divided back, which also bears an advertisement for the Balloon Route Excursion in the message panel.
