Stretching into the distance from the immediate foreground is the Grand Canal, later Grand Boulevard, near its intersection with Riviera Avenue. These bungalows would have been in the area formerly occupied by the "Tent City" built by Venice entrepreneur Abbot Kinney. The name "Venetian Villas" referred to the area, as did "Villa City." The publishers number 3529 is on the back. The division on the back only accommodates a return address on the left, usually seen only in postcards manufactured between 1906 and 1908.
