The lighthouse (inset) known as Angeles Gate Light was built in 1913 at the end of the breakwater shown here. The vertical black stripes were added after the original paint to make it more easily visible in fog. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. The publisher's number 179 is at the bottom of the dividing line on the back.
