This was a Harvey House hotel and restaurant built in 1908 by the Santa Fe Railroad. The station was under one roof with the hotel, constructed in the Beaux-Arts and Neoclassical styles, and designed by Francis W. Wilson. The name is from Francisco Garces, a friar who accompanied the De Anza expedition in the 18th century. Closed as a Harvey House in 1949, the building was abandoned in 1988 but purchased by the City of Needles in 1999. It was named to the National Register of Historic Places in 2002 and was under reconstruction in 2014. Teich's number on the back is A-97951, from which the date was derived. This card has extensive damage on the right side, mainly in the right corner.
