This Norman-style village is described on the back as "the recreational and shopping center for one of the most beautiful and picturesque resort areas in the nation. The Switzerland of southern California where summertime lasts most of the year and winter brings added thrills." Trees frame half-timbered buildings with turrets, a busy parking lot in the foreground. The original construction of the village, complete by 1923, was by The Arrowhead Lake Company of Los Angeles, which continues to own and control the lake and surrounding area (around 4,800 acres) first called Little Bear Lake. The publisher's number on the back is RO-6.
