Osborne's Book Store

In the foreground is a portion of the gardens designed by Carleton Winslow and Francis T. Underhill. The house in the background (1894), two stories with porches and a tower, had belonged to Ralph R. Whitehead, who lived there with his wife until 1903. The Knapps remodeled and expanded the mansion, hiring E. Russell Ray as architect, occupying it in 1912. The name of Osborne's Book Store is barely visible in the left lower corner.
