The view is from the standpoint of someone inside the courtyard of the Mission Inn, originally the Glenwood Hotel (1876). A pedestrian bridge at the second-floor level is visible on the right, with a three-story building on the left, including arches with bells at the top center and trained vines at eye level. The building on the left is the "Old Adobe," the original hotel. The publisher's number on the divided back of this German-made card is G. 4.
