The Court of the Birds, Mission Inn, Riverside, California
On the divided back of this card is the following paragraph: "The Court of the Birds, with its graceful palms, the Adobe with its red tiled roof, the Spanish Tower with its chiming bells, the old Mexican ox cart, and the wealth of flowering blooms remind one of the days of the Dons." The card shows the Carillon Tower just to left of center toward the top, the Campanario just below and to the right of it, a tree blooming with purple flowers, and several early automobiles. "Adobe" refers to the original hotel building built in 1876, the facade just below and to the right of the Carillon Tower.
