Bell Dated 1247, Mission Inn, Riverside, California
A statement printed on the left side of the divided back of the card reads,
"Earliest dated Christian Bell, Mission Inn, Riverside, California." Inn owner Frank Miller bought bells as well as other objects on his family vacations in Europe and Asia, collecting over 800. In 2014 there are about 400 bells left, and they are scattered around the Inn. This particular bell, Number 54, here hanging in an arch next to a pot and a desert plant, is outside the Mission Inn Restaurant, purchased with two other bells in England.
