In the foreground are a joshua tree and shrubs, in the background snow-capped peaks, including Mount San Jacinto, with its elevation given as 10,805 feet. These are the Santa Rosa-San Jacinto Mountains.

In the bottom right corner on the front of the card is a Teich number (3A-H1338) indicating that the card was produced in 1933. The postmark on the back, however, shows that the card was not mailed until 1938. Preceding the title is the publisher's number: 692.
