A small child sits in a saddle on a burro in the foreground, with a lawn stretching back to four cottages behind. In the background are evergreen trees and finally the mountains. These were part of the Idyllwild Hotel, according to the back, but author Steve Lech maintains that the cottages started as part of the Idyllwild Sanitarium, which became the Strawberry Valley Hotel, and then the Idyllwild Inn. Burro rides were part of the standard offerings.
