Dear Mother,

Arrived O.K. but some dusty and shook up. 85 miles in five hours. Hot as the other place. 109 ° in the shade. $15 for room with only one left. 300 guests--will get cheaper room as soon as possible. Extra for blanket. water tastes rotten.
