This Real Photo Post Card has the words "Hotel Alessandro, Hemet, California" handwritten in the bottom right corner on the front. Visible in the middle right in the photgraph is a sign saying "Chamber of Commerce."

Built in 1929, the Alessandro Hotel was located on the southwest corner of Florida Avenue and Harvard Street, after the Hotel Hemet burned down. The Alessandro Hotel was demolished in 1953 and replaced with a bank.



DuPont Defender develop-out papers were in use between 1945-1973, indicating the card was made between 1945 and 1953.
