A four-story building on the southeast corner of Main Street and University dominates the block as one looks across an unpaved intersection with automobiles, horse-drawn vehicles, bicycles and pedestrians The Italianate bank was designed by John Parkinson and George E. Bergstrom and completed in 1911. The publisher's number 1373 is in the right corner. The contributor's logo only appears on the divided back.
