In the grounds of the Harkness residence, Pasadena, California

 

 

 

 

This was the winter home of the wealthy Lamon V. Harkness, deceased 1915. It was on South Orange Grove Avenue, perhaps in the area called "Millionaire's Row." There is a white splotch on the card near the middle where there is a tree in the image. The publisher's number 4537 is on the divided back of this German-made card. A number in the lower right corner in parentheses reads: 52364. Given the divided back and the place of manufacture, the production of this card must have been between 1907 and 1915.
