In the foreground a small community stretches almost to the foothills. In the background are the San Gabriel Mountains with Mount Lowe on the left of the rift and Mount Wilson on the right. The publisher's number on the divided back of this German-made card is C.27. The slogan "On the Road of a Thousand Wonders" on the back suggests that the card was part of a promotion of routes of the Southern Pacific Railroad or the Union Pacific and Southern Pacific together.
