[Curt Teich and Company, Incorporated, Chicago, Illinois]
Theo. Sohmer, Los Angeles, California
The Colorado Street Bridge (1913) spans the seasonally wet ravine Arroyo Seco that runs from the San Gabriel Mountains to the Los Angeles River. Until the Ventura Freeway was built beside it in the mid-20th century, it was the only way to go west out of Pasadena, and it became part of Route 66. The Teich organization's number is at the top of the dividing line on the back, A-85873.
