[Curt Teich and Company, Incorporated, Chicago, Illinois]
The Colorado Street Bridge (1913) spans the seasonally wet ravine Arroyo Seco that runs from the San Gabriel Mountains to the Los Angeles River. Until the Ventura Freeway was built beside it in the mid-20th century, it was the only way to go west out of Pasadena, and it became part of Route 66. The Teich organization's number 49528 is in the lower right corner, the same number as PC-001-983, which clearly bears the same image. This card with white margins has a black stain in the upper right corner.
