A postcard picture exactly like this but with different tinting is titled, "Driveway in Altadena, Calif." Altadena is the community north of Pasadena, at the foot of the San Gabriel Mountains. The trees shown on either side of this roadway leading to the mountains are deodar cedars that were introduced in 1883 and first lit for Christmas in 1920. With that beginning, this street between Woodbury and Altadena Drive became "Christmas Tree Lane" and as such was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1990. The publisher was in business from 1908 to 1918, and its number in front of the title is 11357. Their logo is on the back, along with a "W" enclosed within a circle. The divided back places the date of publication of this card in or after 1907.
