Although Cawston's Ostrich Farm raised birds to sell their feathers, they also had a tourist business partially promoted through streetcar lines that ran to the farm. Ostriches pulled carts and carriages, and there were tours, clothing, and souvenirs for sale. Many, like these standing together in their paddock, were named after famous people. This is a Real Photo Post Card rubber-stamped on the right edge with the Cawston Ostrich Farm name and location. The stampbox on the back indicates that the brand of photographic paper used to develop this gelatin-silver print was manufactured from 1922-1926.
