Something new in ostriches, Cawston Ostrich Farm, California
Although Cawston's Ostrich Farm raised birds to sell their feathers, they also had a tourist business partially promoted through streetcar lines that ran to the farm. Ostriches pulled carts and carriages, and there were tours, clothing, and souvenirs for sale. Here a small girl cuddles an ostrich chick among other chicks and unhatched eggs. The publisher's number is F 5. The divided back means the card would have been published in or after 1907.
