On a snowy mountain, a park ranger walks on snowshoes ahead of a man behind a sled and a pack of sled dogs. In the distance are other snowy mountains, in the middle ground trees. Swartout was a post office that once existed in the camp but did not represent a community. This recreation area opened in 1924 and was often just called Big Pines Park. On the divided back, this card boasts that it was "hand colored."
